The HTC Radar Makes An Excellent Choice For Business Users

Some of the latest technologies were indeed implemented. The first thing we should discuss is the screen. This is where the Radar kind of stands out, as the screen exudes quality. It is an S-LCD capacitive touchscreen capable of rendering 16 million colours. It is protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass technology, so it is as shock resistant as any other smartphone. But what you will truly love about this screen is that it has a 480 x 800 resolution over 3.8 inches. That means that it has a pixel density of about 246 points per inch, which makes for great display quality.

Moving on from the screen, we should add that the HTC Radar is 2G and 3G compatible for most networks, so it can be trusted to achieve a decent internet connection when no Wi-Fi networks are in range. It weighs around 137 grams so it is very light, and its dimensions are not too large or too small (120.5 x 61.5 x 10.9 mm). It is available in shades of grey, black and white, and that's pretty much the standard these days.

The HTC Radar benefits from 8 GB of internal memory, which is pretty decent. However, the fact that it has no card slot is something of a head-scratcher. Why HTC would not install a card slot on what is otherwise a great smartphone is beyond us. So if you think you will need more than 8 GB of memory, there is nothing this phone can do for you. Other than that, the hardware is pretty decent. The 1 GHz single core Scorpion processor is not the best around but it can get the job done in short order, and it is aided by the 512 MB of RAM.

It has to be mentioned that the HTC Radar is NOT an Android phone, as most of its newer handsets are. It runs on the Microsoft Windows Phone 7.5 Mango OS, and that comes with all the ups and downs currently associated with Windows phones. You can benefit from the unequalled Microsoft support system, but you can't run any Android apps. You will have amazing video apps for Vimeo, YouTube and other social networks, but you will not be able to install any unofficial apps. This makes the HTC Radar absolutely perfect for business users who need to use their phone to work, but not so great for multimedia enthusiasts who want to play Android games. Other than that, the camera on this phone is quite nice. It is a 5 MP camera with autofocus, an LED flash and a 2560x1920 resolution. It can be used as a HD video camera, as it can shoot 30 frames per second at a 720p resolution.
